   All aboard Valiant Lady. Canal-side drinks before we sail, then the first toast of the trip as the North Sea opens up.

   Day 2 · Tue · Aug 08

   At Sea

   A full day to break in the ship — pool deck, the spa, a long lunch and whatever the night crew dreams up.

   Day 3 · Wed · Aug 09

   Oslo, Norway

   Sail up the Oslofjord into the heart of the city. Waterfront saunas, the Opera House roof and long Nordic daylight.

   Day 4 · Thu · Aug 10

   At Sea

   Skagerrak crossing. Deck chairs, sea air and an unhurried day between two capitals.

   Day 5 · Fri · Aug 11

   Copenhagen, Denmark

   Nyhavn's painted houses, bikes everywhere, Tivoli after dark and some of the best food in Europe.

   Day 6 · Sat · Aug 12

   At Sea

   One more slow day at sea before Germany — brunch, a show, and sunset on the top deck.

   Day 7 · Sun · Aug 13

   Hamburg, Germany

   The Elbe, the red-brick Speicherstadt warehouses, the Elbphilharmonie and a very good beer garden.

   Day 8 · Mon · Aug 14

   Amsterdam, Netherlands

   Disembark in Amsterdam. Stay an extra night for the canals, the museums and one last stroopwafel.
